For Daryl Prothero, Managing Director at Oxley Frame & Truss, the Posi-Slab project was a chance to strengthen an existing partnership and explore a better way to build.
“At Oxley, we are always looking for smarter solutions,” Daryl said. “Tim approached me to discuss the idea of a Posi-Slab system, and we saw it as a great opportunity to work with Hall & Hart again. We have been doing Posi-Joists conventionally for five years — this was a chance to take it a step further.”
Whilst the system required a few changes, the process was smoother than expected.
“We thought it might be challenging at first — pressing the fins on and constructing the joists in a different way — but it actually came together quickly.”
Daryl was impressed by the performance of the finished floor. “You can feel the strength underfoot. The insulation and acoustic benefits are there from construction through to completion. It is a superior product to what else is out there — and gives builders like Hall & Hart a cost-effective solution for a higher-end finish.”
